Librarianship

My work as an outreach librarian at a four-year university involves communications, marketing, and how these use images, multimedia, and words to build our relationships with our different groups of patrons. These days, a sharper focus on authenticity, patron experiences, and engagement are my biggest concerns. How do I help our patrons (existing and would-be, current and prospective students, faculty, staff members, and administrators) see and believe our library is valuable to their lives, their work, and the university community? Answering that question, again and again, is the challenge before me.
